Course Description
The evolution of European businesses throughout the last two centuries provides the context for this course. Central issues include the entrepreneur, the firm and the role of companies in economic development.
The European firm during the first and second industrial revolutions is studied through developments such as the emergence of industrial zones and big business. 20th century business models in the UK, Germany and France and a dynamic analysis of multinational organizations also form an important part of the course.
